Make a Difference

Barriers and permanent consequences faced by Illinoisans impacted by the criminal legal system are many, the services and resources meant to support them in overcoming those barriers are often in silos, and no single agency can address every need of every system impacted person. To address this dilemma, the Illinois Alliance for Reentry & Justice members are collaborating to develop statewide holistic reentry guidelines to move towards decarceration in conjunction with the remaking of the criminal legal. Our communities and especially BIPOC and poor communities deserve a system that is racially equitable and focused on harm reduction.
