Isabel Kennon, Social Media Intern
Isabel Kennon is a Master's in Public Policy candidate at the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy. She is interested in criminal legal system and housing policies, and hopes to ensure that social safety nets are available to all who need them. She plans to work on state and local level policies after graduating, so she can provide targeted policy solutions for local communities. Since moving to Chicago for school, she has worked with the South Side Housing Data Initiative on their South Shore parcel survey and report, and the Illinois Justice Project.
Isabel is a Nashville native, and moved to St. Louis MO for her bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies and Spanish. She then moved to Washington, DC, where she worked at Tune Inn, the Atlantic Council's Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center, as a COVID-19 contact tracer, and at the Smithsonian. In graduate school, she hopes to grow her quantitative, data, and coding skills, and focus on building policy solutions and navigating the criminal legal and housing policy communities in Chicago.
